our next stop was logrono which we were looking forward to for so many reasons.
first, my cousin rosabelita lives here. she is the first born of the cousins. her father & my father are brothers. due to the distance, it is hard to see her so i was super grateful for the quality time with her. our little boys are about 10 months apart. i loved watching them together & started to daydream of more summers in spain for those two.
^^^kinda cool graffiti on our walk^^^
^^^best buds.^^^
second, this city in northern spain is known for the rioja wine. third, they have one of the most distinguished culinary traditions. there are about 50 tapa restaurants in the center of the town. so imagine if centro ybor didn’t allow cars & every other place was for beer & tapas. pretty much heaven.
we had an amazing lunch where i devoured these stuffed peppers but saved one for a photo.
of course, some vino…
that took awhile & then a siesta for 3 hours. i can get used to this…
here are some photos of us on the way to eat some tapas, pinchos!
^^^love how we are all eating^^^
^^^ran into begona! so weird to run into friends in other cities in SPAIN!^^^
devoured paella. seriously, go here for some of the best food you will ever have!
some of the tapas restaurants only sell one type of tapa like mushrooms or patatas bravas but you will not be disappointed!
this is me at the end of the night. content to be surrounded by family! cheers :)
ps: next stop…barcelona!
xoxo,
